Roads & Kingdoms Print Magazine

Roads & Kingdoms is part independent media company, part travel curator, perhaps best known for their work produced alongside partners such as Anthony Bourdain and Chef José Andrés. Through editorial features, award-winning video series, and small-group trips led alongside local fixers, their work offers an immersive look into humanity and culture through food and travel.

In the fall of 2025, I helped the R&K team across editorial and branded content, which included proofreading the full magazine, and developing an original advertorial that aligned with their brand voice and editorial standards.

Small Business,
Big Why

QuickBooks Canada wanted to feature a handful of small business owners across the country who use their software, but came to us for a creative idea that would give the series purpose, not just a product spotlight. I developed the “Small Business, Big Why” campaign concept, providing the team with a clear storytelling structure to travel across Canada with, meeting small business owners and creating content.

Through filmed Q&A interviews, blog posts, and editorial features, this content series captured the stories of nine businesses, rolling out across multiple platforms, and ultimately evolving into a much larger brand initiative.

An Adventure in Letting Go

WHOA Travel's Mongolia Adventure is unlike any other they offer. It's intentionally under-planned, and all about embracing the spontaneous nature of the country, to allow adventure to unfold and happen. In this spirt, I said "yes" to a two-week, off-grid trip with less than a 72-hour notice.

While there, I embraced the spontaneous nature of the trip, while simultaneously navigating the process of letting go of a few things in my personal life. In turn, I created content spanning a marketing email, blog post, and social media content, providing both original writing and photography.
